Castles Of The Loire Valley

The Loire valley is called the garden of France. This region combines lovely landscapes, splendid royal castles near Paris and great French food.  Loire castles were built in the Renaissance time. The Valley is included into the UNESCO World Heritage list.

You will discover remarkable Loire valley Castles such as Amboise, Chambord, Cheverny and Chenonceaux. There are 42 of castles here but the majority of them are closed for tourists. Down here you can the picture of the Chenonceaux castle.

It is surrounded with beautiful gardens such as Gardens of Catherine d'Medici.

And Gardens of Diane de Poitier.

Nestled on the River Cher, the Chenonceau Castle is nicknamed the “Castle of Ladies”, as it is the fruit of the passion and ambition of a long history of strong, loving, and willing women.

That is what the castle looked like many centuries ago.

The ceiling depicts 5 royal emblems of those queens who used to inhabit the castle.

The castle doesn't look that nice inside as nothing is hanging on the walls and the furniture is made in Gothic style.
