Where is Machu Picchu ?
The ruins of Machu Picchu are one of the most beautiful ancient sites in the world. Ruins are located 2,430 metres (7,970 ft) above sea level on a mountain ridge above the Urubamba Valley in Peru, South America, which is 80 kilometres (50 mi) northwest of Cusco. Machu Picchu was built as an estate for the Inca emperor Pachacuti. Machu Picchu have been utilized as a secret ceremonial city, but one of primary functions was astronomical observatory. Officially Machu Picchu was rediscovered in 1911 by American explorer-historian Hiram Bingham.

Kilimanjaro consits of three distinct volcanic cones: Kibo 19,340 feet (5,895 meters), Mawenzi 16,896 feet (5,149 meters) and Shira 13,000 feet (3,962 meters). Kilimanjaro has 2.2 square kilometers of glacial ice and is losing it quickly due to global warming. Climbing Kilimanjaro is easy and requires no experience with climbing. You should only take care from improper acclimatization and altitude sickness.

Grand Canyon is about 200 miles long, about a mile deep gash in the earth. It is located in the northwest corner of Arizona. It was formed during 6 million years of geological activity and erosion by the Colorado River. Author did not manipulate images in any way except to boost the color saturation a bit and to try to sharpen it. Photos was taken in the very early morning or late evening hours when you could capture some stunning images.
